Jose Miguel Cansado
Jose Miguel started his professional career with the IBM Networking Hardware Division in Valencia with product engineering responsibility for EMEA. In 1997, he joined Alcatel in Madrid taking care of the OSS Competence Center for Cable Operators, where at the time Cable networks were being deployed nationwide in Spain. Covering Spain, Portugal and Latin America, he has hold different international management positions in business development around Network Applications and Multimedia. In 2004 Jose Miguel moved to Asia Pacific with the Alcatel Mobile Communications Group. Currently based in Kuala Lumpur, he is part of the Convergence Business Group of Alcatel-Lucent leading the Multimedia & Payment Division in Asia Pacific.
Born in Spain, Jose Miguel graduated in Telecommunications Engineering in Valencia and holds an Executive MBA from IE Business School, Madrid, and a Marketing Telecommunications postgraduate from INSEAD, Fointanebleau.
Technology, Economics and Entrepreneurship are his main areas of interest. Jose Miguel has coached start-ups related to Telecom Applications, mainly on Marketing and Offer definition.
